SCAMS ARE RAMPANT POLICE CAUTION PUBLIC

Police agencies are reporting numerous scams locally, and are warning the public to be wary.
Among the scams reported are the following:
1. Marriage/Prostitution Scam, female operatives marry males in order to gain access to their money, while providing sexual favors.
2. Sunday Paper Scam, where operatives sell "Sunday" papers on Saturday. They actually have no way of telling in advance what the news will be, it is a fake.
3. Breast Census, if a man comes up to your door and asks you to show your breasts, he is not with the Census Bureau. He is just trying to see your boobs.
4. Harley Ride Scam, women are offered rides on motorcycles, then asked to perform difficult feats of sexual gymnastics.
5. Borrower Scam, where a person says they want to borrow money for some important emergency, then spends the money on crack.
6. Quality vs. Price scam, where the scam artist offers improved quality at lower prices to dupe his victim into a better deal.
7. Sorry Wrong Number scam, where the scam artist calls and pretends to have the wrong number, then simply hangs up.
All of the above con games should be reported immediately to police.
